Built to give you clarity
DivorceSmart.ai was built by a team of software developers to provide an objective, data-driven mathematical tool for educational purposes. We saw that too many people sign settlement agreements without truly understanding the long-term math — so we built a deterministic financial modeling engine that projects your post-divorce finances year by year, from today through age 100.
Why we built this
Many people walk away from divorce negotiations without a clear picture of what their future could look like financially. Attorneys negotiate legal terms. Financial advisors manage investments. But it can be difficult to sit down and explore: "Could this settlement potentially sustain me through retirement?" That’s the gap DivorceSmart was designed to help address — as an educational starting point, not a replacement for professional advice.
What we do differently
We don’t give legal advice and we don’t replace your attorney or financial advisor. What we do is provide an estimated year-by-year financial projection — from today through age 100 — based on the information you enter and simplified financial assumptions. You input your income, expenses, assets, alimony, child support, and housing costs. We help you explore when the money could potentially run out (or may not). These estimates are a starting point for conversations with your attorney and financial advisor — not a substitute for their professional guidance.
What we believe
Financial projections should be understandable, not buried in jargon.
Your financial data stays in your browser unless you choose to save it. We never sell data.
Our goal is to help you feel more informed and confident — not to make decisions for you.
Run a free projection in about 2 minutes. See a sample Pro analysis to understand what your settlement is really worth.

DivorceSmart is an educational financial planning tool for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for legal, financial, or tax advice. Projections are estimates based on simplified assumptions and may not reflect your actual circumstances. Laws and financial conditions change frequently. Always consult a qualified attorney, financial advisor, and tax professional before making important decisions about your divorce settlement. See our Terms of Service.
From uncertainty to clarity in 3 steps
No account required. No credit card. Just your numbers.
Enter your numbers
Settlement amount, income, expenses, alimony, house — takes about 2 minutes. Everything runs privately in your browser.
See the projection
Get a year-by-year chart showing your net worth from now through age 100. Green, yellow, or red — you'll know where you stand instantly.
Model & export
Test different settlement terms to find which saves you the most money, compare offers side-by-side, and export a report for your attorney.
Every projection is deterministic — same inputs always produce the same outputs. Results are estimates based on the assumptions you provide.
See what a Pro analysis looks like
We built a complete Pro analysis for a fictional person named Sarah. Explore every section — charts, what-if scenarios, risk timeline, negotiation leverage — so you can see what’s included before running your own numbers.
You don’t need a $5,000 CDFA retainer to understand your own numbers
Start with the free projection. If the numbers raise questions you can’t answer, upgrade to Pro for $19 — one-time, no subscription — and discover which settlement terms could save you thousands.
Not financial or legal advice. DivorceSmart is an educational planning tool. Always consult a qualified attorney and financial advisor before making settlement decisions.
